Clear, Concise Communication
Flint Hills Resources is dedicated to ensuring the community receives clear, concise communication as the pipeline is built and operated.
Since introducing the project in 2023, Flint Hills Resources has engaged with communities along the pipeline route through public meetings, bilingual communications, direct mail, the BATX Pipeline website and other traditional outreach. The project team held four public engagement meetings to provide information, answer questions and hear directly from community members and stakeholders.
Public engagement meetings included:
- February 26, 2024 – Del Valle Community Center
- February 27, 2024 – LCRA McKinney Roughs Nature Park
- November 19, 2024 – Austin Airport Hilton Hotel
- May 1, 2025 – MBE/WBE Vendor Open House, Austin Airport Hilton Hotel
Construction began in March 2026, and Flint Hills Resources continues to work closely with landowners, local officials, regulators and community stakeholders to provide regular updates on construction and overall project progress.
As part of that ongoing outreach, Flint Hills Resources launched an educational video series to give the community a closer look at the BATX Pipeline and the work underway. The series provides information on key aspects of the project, including construction, safety, design integrity, environmental responsibility and operational reliability, with new videos shared throughout construction.
Project information, construction updates and educational materials are also shared through the BATX Pipeline website and other communication channels.

Flint Hills Commitment
During the construction of the pipeline, we will work with affected landowners to minimize any disruption throughout the construction process. We remain committed to fully restoring and maintaining the land along the entire approximately 20-mile route.
