Flint Hills Resources has released its fourth video in its 8-part series on the Bastrop-Austin Texas (BATX) Pipeline project. In the latest video, Health and Safety Specialist Todd Holder explains how safety culture and procedures guide every phase of the BATX project.
Safety is a priority throughout the BATX construction process. Before work begins, crews are required to have the appropriate work permits and participate in daily and weekly safety briefings. These briefings help identify potential hazards, while crews use engineering and administrative controls and personal protective equipment to mitigate those hazards. Throughout construction, BATX project crews also emphasize emergency response readiness, driver awareness and visibility to help protect workers, the public, and communities along the route.
This eight-part series is released monthly and highlights key developments throughout construction and commissioning.
